Crystal Brown-Tatum is the CEO and Founder of Crystal Clear Communications. She is a Honors College graduate of The University of Houston with a B.A. in Radio-Television. Crystal is an accomplished journalist and has appeared on several local radio and television shows as well having had more than 500 editorials published.
In addition, she has appeared on several national television and radio shows including Oprah and Women’s Entertainment Television. Ebony magazine named her a 2006 Top Bachelorette and she was a 2006 Women on the Move honoree with Texas Executive Women. Crystal Clear Communications was a 2008 Pinnacle Award Finalist with the Houston Citizens Chamber of Commerce and an Emerging-10 Award Winner with the Houston Minority Business Council. Mrs. Brown-Tatum has been named a 2009 Blazing Star Award Winner by the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Texas and the Houston Business Journal named her a 2009 40 under 40 award recipient.
She was twice voted Miss Congeniality in the Miss Texas USA pageant and received a Texas Senate Commendation for her community service. She was awarded a Distinguished Achievement Award from the City of San Antonio Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission.
Prior to forming the company, she worked for several Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft, Intel, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, and Chase.
Crystal is active in the community and has volunteered her time and agency resources for several non-profit organizations. She is a member of the American Heart Association Louisiana State Advocacy Committee, Board Member of Gridiron Heroes, Board of Directors of Kiwanis Club of Southern Hills (Shreveport) and member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority.
